Anthony Kraft By far my favorite album of yours. A short listen but I actually really like how concise it is. Incredibly strong from start to finish. Favorite track: Broken.

cut, this skin of ours we feel the pain that we've caused for them look up towards the sky i swear there's more beyond what the eye can see this view in fragments it's so unclear we need to put it back together how could we be so unaware of the damage we're doing guilty i know it's all our fault cut, this skin of ours we feel the pain that we've caused for them look up towards the sky i swear there's more beyond what the eye can see this all feels pointless but life moves on we need to see the beauty in it how could we be so unaware of all that we have missed out on guilty i know it's all our fault cut, this skin of ours we feel the pain that we've caused for them look up towards the sky i swear there's more beyond what the eye can see you're scared that they might give up on you you think that maybe it wasn't worth it it's hard to open up and stop playing pretend it's hard to go and face reality cut, this skin of ours we feel the pain that we've caused for them look up towards the sky i swear there's more beyond what the eye can see

wake up and you're stumblin' feel that existential dread you let it consume you there goes another perfectly good day now wash it down the drain it's a good day to throw it all away was it worth it? what if you lose it all, would you even care? was it worth it? and if you lose your soul, would you even care? if only we could forget all that we've done it's alright let's forget sometimes i wish we could give up on our stupid dreams another perfectly good day now wash it down the drain it's a good day to throw it all away was it worth it? what if you lose it all, would you even care? was it worth it? and if you lose your soul, would you even care? another perfectly good day now wash it down the drain it's a good day to throw it all away was it worth it? what if you lose it all, would you even care? was it worth it? and if you lose your soul, would you even care? was it worth it? was it worth it?

Broken 03:58
broken, shattered planting the flowers in my garden and it's december the snow is coming down i don't think we'll make it through though we are lost, alone know this won't last we'll see it lost, undone true colors show; iridescent broken, fragile pierce the skin with a knife and watch as it bleeds i know that it hurts it's okay to feel though we are lost, alone know this won't last we'll see it lost, undone true colors show; iridescent

i know it's pointless but i'll still write it i'm not a poet and these aren't words of wisdom there's a world where hatred's but a distant memory can we try to make this fantasy a reality? take my hand let's create a new world where we are free let's save the world from darkness, destruction we paint the skies with these vibrant new colors all it takes is some empathy should you take some time to care you might, just realize we are similar please just look around and see the beauty in it i know i'm dreaming i've got my head in the clouds i know i'm helpless but i believe that we could make a world where bigotry is nonexistent can we try to make this fantasy a reality? take my hand let's create a new world where we are free i saw the place where we once stood i always knew you understood i never thought it'd be this way thought i'd see you another day then i reach out to your hand together we would take this stand tomorrow is a brand new day we'll find ourselves in this new place let's save the world from darkness, destruction we paint the skies with these vibrant new colors all it takes is some empathy with this world remade anew i'm glad i get to be with you let's save the world from darkness, destruction we paint the skies with these vibrant new colors all it takes is some empathy should you take some time to care you might, just realize we are similar please just look around and see the beauty in it

Vocals and bridge lyrics on "Nico": Matthew Guerra
Everything else: Me

~ ✧ ~ special thanks ~ ✧ ~

I want to thank Matt, Anthony, Chris, Igi, AJ, Chris L., Jesús, Alex, Stevie, Raayo, Evan, and all my wonderful friends and family who have supported me throughout the creation of this album. And of course, thank you to my grandfather Eugene Heinrich (Papaw), none of this would've been possible without him.

~ ✧ ~ about the album ~ ✧ ~

I started working on Goodbye, for Now on February 3rd, about a month before my metal album Red came out on March 2nd.

I'd been doing some random vocal stuff for some projects with Chris Allen Hess and Nah Tony, and that inspired me to do some more. I thought it'd be cool to make an album with a focus on vocals, whether that be poppier vocals like in that of "Haha I'm Emo" or more ambient/backing stuff like in "Encased in Ice."

But at the beginning, I was planning to have a bunch of different vocalists, rather than just me. I realized though that a lot of the stuff I was writing was catered to my voice and aesthetic. It took a lot of recording over and over again, but eventually I got an end result that I was happy with.

Pretty late into the album, I started working on that "Nico" song. It kinda ruined everything. I originally intended to have my vocals on it, but then I would record and it would sound terrible: like really bad lol. I also tried playing the melody on guitar or a square chiptune lead or something. Nothing was working, everything sounded terrible and I couldn't figure out why.

There was a span of a couple months where I honestly wanted to just scrap "Nico" and the album as a whole. But later I was talking with Matt and he offered to sing on it. The rest is history. Matt nailed it, saved "Nico," and saved the album in the process. I think Matt did a fantastic job and I think his performance really ties the whole album together.

I was able to get really personal on this album and I think that's cool. I hope you like it.

Goodbye, for Now.
